SegurCamion.com is an insurance broker specialized in trucks and other industrial vehicles. The industry it operates in is highly competitive and being the first to advance an offer to prospective customers is very important.

Problem

SegurCamion.com’s process involves collecting insurance information from various providers based on the prospecting client’s data. This is time consuming, error-prone and boring work. It also means that any increase in orders, which is a nice problem to have, involves a proportional time dedicated to these repetitive and unrewarding tasks. It was estimated that up to a third of an employee’s time was dedicated to data inputting and collection.

SegurCamion.com tasked Batch22 with automating the data collection task with the following requirements:

  • It is time-efficient, meaning that the results are available as soon as possible after the customer has placed the order
  • Once implemented, it should have low costs of operation and high-availability
  • It integrates well with existing processes and does not overhaul the entire company operation but rather addresses the specific time-consuming task
  • It allows for growth both in number of customers and the number of insurance companies that the company intermediates between

Solution

Our solution consisted in a web-based application that:

  • Collects, parses, cleans and stores the customer-related data
  • Executes a series of automated agents that perform the task of entering the data on the target insurer, responds to various conditions and collects the results
  • Finally, we give SegurCamion.com’s team the tools to oversee and manage the tasks autonomously through an user-friendly web interface

In order for the solution to be always available and cost-effective, we chose a cloud-based deployment with a secure connection to the internal network.

Results

The results of the solution we have implemented speak for themselves:

  • A big reduction in time dedicated to time-consuming, repetitive and boring tasks; basically most of the time the results are already available for passing to the next stage
  • Prospective customers receive their offer faster; in such a competitive industry being the first to advance an offer can be decisive
